01 / Agreement
These Terms govern access to the Shadow website and software supplied by Algebra Softech. By using Shadow, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for yourself or your organisation.
02 / Intended use
Shadow is a consent-based internal Windows AI assistant. You may use it only for lawful, authorised workplace purposes and in accordance with your organisation’s policies.
- Do not record or process audio without the required notice and consent.
- Do not use Shadow to bypass access controls, monitoring policies or legal obligations.
- Do not submit confidential information to an AI provider unless your organisation has approved that provider and data flow.
- Do not reverse engineer provider credentials, disrupt the service or misuse the contact form.
03 / Visibility
Shadow may use documented Windows APIs to remove its companion windows from the taskbar and Alt+Tab switcher and, when policy permits, to request exclusion from compatible screen-capture methods.
Capture exclusion is not guaranteed. It may not be honoured by every operating-system version, browser, recorder, remote-desktop tool, camera or capture method. You remain responsible for verifying behaviour in your environment before relying on it.
04 / AI output
AI-generated responses can be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate. They are provided as assistance, not as professional, legal, medical, financial or security advice. Users must review important outputs before acting on them.
05 / Accounts and policy
Organisations are responsible for authorised-user lists, role configuration, capture policies, provider settings, retention settings and API limits. Administrators must protect credentials and promptly remove access for users who no longer require it.
06 / Third parties
Speech-to-text and AI functionality may rely on third-party providers selected by the organisation. Their terms, privacy notices, availability and charges apply separately. Algebra Softech does not control third-party services.
07 / Ownership
Shadow, its interface, code, graphics and documentation are owned by Algebra Softech or its licensors. These Terms grant a limited right to use the supplied software; they do not transfer intellectual-property ownership.
08 / Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Algebra Softech will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from AI output, provider downtime, unauthorised audio capture, policy misconfiguration or reliance on capture exclusion.
09 / Changes and termination
We may update these Terms as the product changes. Organisations may stop using Shadow and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend access where continued use creates a security, legal or abuse risk.
10 / Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to algebrasoftech@gmail.com.
